CT, MA and RI Boards commit to forming new Conference


The Boards of Directors of the Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island conferences on Saturday voted unanimously to commit to forming a new Conference to minister and come together to make an impact as people of faith.

Survey Indicates Support for Tri-conference Collaboration, Possible Merger


Over the last past 9 months, 555 people responding to a survey have indicated their support for the concept of a greater partnership or possible merger of the Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island conferences.

210th Autumnal Meeting Tackles Tough Issues


Attendees to the 210th Autumnal Meeting of the Rhode Island Conference on Nov. 5 tackled some tough issues head on: white privilege, the battle over the pipeline through native American land in North Dakota and the Conference’s welcome of people regardless of sexual orientation.

Christmas Fund materials soon to be available


A wealth of interpretive material may be accessed at the Pension Boards website (pbucc.org) using the "Christmas Fund" link. If your church does not automatically receive materials for the Christmas Fund; envelopes, inserts and posters may be ordered from United Church Resources at 800-537-3394. They will be available around Nov. 1.

Rhode Island Conference launches new website


The Rhode Island Conference has launched a new website that is designed to be both easy for users to navigate and easy for Conference staff to keep up-to-date with fresh content.

Churches invited to donate bricks for Station Nightclub Memorial


So far, 69 congregations of every denomination across the state have responded to the invitation to donate a brick for the Memorial Walkway of the Station Fire Memorial in West Warwick.
